FUJIFILM Healthcare Adding CT/MRI and other medical devices to the lineup to globally provide value-added solutions based on medical IT

TOKYO, March 31, 2021 – FUJIFILM Corporation (President: Kenji Sukeno) has today completed the process to acquire the Diagnostic Imaging-related Business (the Business) of Hitachi, Ltd. (Hitachi). Accordingly, FUJIFILM Healthcare Corporation, established by Hitachi to absorb the Business, today starts to operate as Fujifilm’s wholly-owned subsidiary.

In recent years, vendors have been expected in clinical settings to provide solutions that directly benefit medical institution’s management. The latest acquisition gives the Fujifilm Group a comprehensive product lineup covering CT, MRI, X-ray, ultrasound systems, endoscopy, in-vitro diagnostic systems and PACS. The combination of its product lineups enhances its capability to offer a comprehensive solution that caters to the needs in the clinical settings. In the future, these products will be combined with Fujifilm’s outstanding image processing technology and AI technology to create even higher value-added solutions based on medical IT, to be provided globally.

In welcoming FUJIFILM Healthcare into the Group, Fujifilm will further expand its Medical Systems business, which drives growth in the healthcare area.
