United Imaging has announced CE Mark certification for its uCT SiriuX and uCT SiriuX Ultrix systems, which the company describes as the world’s first dual wide-coverage CT family. The certification clears the systems for commercial availability across Europe.
According to the company, the platform uses a twin-ring gantry design with two 16 cm detectors and two X-ray tubes. United Imaging highlights three intended capabilities: synchronised whole-organ dynamic imaging, ultra-high-resolution imaging over 16 cm of coverage, and whole-body spectral imaging.
