bioMérieux has launched SPINCHIP, a new point-of-care platform, with a first test measuring high-sensitivity cardiac troponin I from a single drop of blood. The test is intended to help emergency teams triage adult patients with suspected acute myocardial infarction.
The test is CE-marked under the EU IVDR and is launching first in Europe, with a gradual rollout outside the EU to follow. The launch was presented at the European Society for Emergency Medicine (EUSEM) Congress in Paris and follows bioMérieux’s acquisition of the Norwegian company SpinChip Diagnostics a year earlier.
